Offering FULL SERVICE PRODUCTION

ON ALMOST ANY BUDGET

Welcome to Frankly Zoe Productions

Conveniently located just off of I-75 between Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio, Frankly Zoe Productions is a small full service production company offering preproduction, production, and post production services to fit almost any budget.

Frankly Zoe Productions was founded in 2001 by R. Zoe Judd. Her first official foray into film making was in her high school film communications class. Though this was her first experience behind a camera, Zoe had fallen in love with movies many years before. From an early age she lived for Friday nights spent watching USA Network's "Up All Night". She dreamed of one day making her own movies, but that was all she thought it was... a dream.

After graduating high school, Zoe went to college, majoring in business; but in her heart all she wanted to do was be involved in filmmaking. She worked on several productions as a PA, a script supervisor, in the costuming department... anything that got her on a film set. Following two years of college, Zoe decided to make her dream of being a film maker a reality. Jumping in with both feet, she produced and directed a documentary on the history of the town she was living in. That documentary brought her to the attention of a local charitable organization that hired her to document their annual parade and diversity celebration. She went on to work for them for five years.

Feeling like she wanted to expand past documentaries, she formed Frankly Zoe Productions, and began directing narrative shorts, television commercials, and music videos. In 2002, her good friend and fellow producer, TL Carrol joined the company, expanding the company's reach to New York.

In 2006, Zoe directed and executive produced her first non-documentary feature, a horror film named "Devil's Grove". Her good friend, fellow director, and founder of the New York City Horror Film Festival, Michael J. Hein came onboard as the producer and TL Carrol as executive producer. Filmed in July of 2006, Devil's Grove went on to premiere at the 2008 New York City Horror Film Festival to a packed house. Released on DVD as the first in the New York City Horror Film Festival Presents Label on June 7th, 2011, Devil's Grove has gone on to sell out three times on Amazon.com. It is available on Netflix, Blockbuster, Amazon.com and will be available in stores in time for Halloween.

Zoe continues to produce and direct both shorts and features. See the productions page for Frankly Zoe Production's current projects.
